It’s Almost Time…
It’s time to start taking orders for the updated library. But first, I want to clarify some important points about the following.
The library is over 500 gigabytes now. It also includes sets created by other guys and gals, who think just like me…someone who saw a need to create a full blown file set that covers several generations of data, usable by most anyone with an understanding that “the files” belong to everyone.
That being said, let’s talk about this NEW library, and how it is different than others, and why it’s important. First, who are we?
About SurvivalRing…
SurvivalRing started as a webring in November of 1997. Webrings were great, until after Y2K, and when society didn’t melt down, Ring member sites slowly disappeared from the web. Before that, I had started sharing civil defense fallout shelter plans. and became quite active in the misc.survival newsgroup on AOL.
That became the foundation of what SurvivalRing is now…a HUGE archive of authentic, original US government created digital archives. The main website is one of the largest online libraries of government created survival and preparedness documents and manuals to be found…anywhere.
I started buying every piece of hard copy that fell into this niche of government published documents, manuals, and plans from all over North America, as well as several nations outside the US, that I searched for and was able to request, and receive, other nation’s manuals on these same topics.
I returned to college from 2003 to 2008 (with my entire family) to educate myself with state of the art media production and operations…radio, television, podcasting, etc., to be able to create any format of information from my personal collection of super rare and sometimes completely unheard of titles.
I was highly successful in these classes, earning three associates of applied science degrees, with high honors. I was also recognized with two national scholarships, both of which put me at such a high level that I started getting recruiting letters from most Ivy League universities, with huge initial scholarships. Think Harvard Business school, Columbia, Princeton, and many others. I was absolutely blown away by this flood of interest in my higher education.

I didn’t go…because that $32k I owed for student loans at the end of those three AAS degrees would blossom into $100k to $250k or more, and think how much it would cost for living expenses for my wife and three kids. I was astoundingly flattered…but I had to pass.
From that point on, I got a job with the state of Wyoming in corrections/LEO, and stayed there most of a decade. While working at the Wyoming Honor Farm, I would work on the SurvivalCD set in the evenings, that would eventually include 14 multimedia CD/DVD discs, sets that I would sell through the last day of 2015, when I focused everything on getting myself healthy enough to have major surgery that would change my life.
With that accomplished, I then made that hard decision to leave my state job, which I loved more than any job I’d ever had before, to move to Nashville, a metropolitan area that would offer several magnitudes more job opportunities than Wyoming would ever offer to job seekers, as well as much higher pay and benefits.
While working for the state of Wyoming, I had never received a raise or promotion. It wasn’t that I wasn’t worth it…I was nominated several times for “Employee of the Quarter” and won it once in 2014. I was able to excel in multiple job areas, besides the Ag department. Records, running the chow hall, running the front desk, dispersing all staff mail, reading and censoring incoming and outgoing inmate mail, and answering and forwarding 20 line phone calls.
SurvivalCD included 25,000 unique titles and 32 gigabytes of data. One of the largest offerings in the survival/Prepper niche. But wait…there’s more!
About SurvivalRing Media…
In the last two years, I’ve built up my desktop computer system to move into the next level of Prepper libraries, an enormous undertaking. What was 32gb of data, grew 14 times larger…now at 465gb in archived and squeezed format.
Because of that gargantuan file set, burning to dozens and dozens of DVD discs was(and is) impossible. That began the real work of finally making a file set that could be burned onto blank pocket drives, pen drives, SDRAM chips, and MicroSD chips. Still a bit of work on the backend.

These will work on any PC or laptop with a web browser. Tablets with MicroSD slots will work with my MicroSD chips. Phones depend on how you would move files TO your phone. I did come across a plug/cable adapter a few days ago that allows two-way comms of data to and from your phone. That’s all I have at this moment.

The world is currently in a very dangerous and dynamic situation, because of the Ukrainian/Russia open war. The US and dozens of allied nations have sent hundreds of billions of dollars in cash, weapons, missiles, and even placed state of the art stealth aircraft, to be available for Ukraine’s use as things continue to break down in that part of the world.
China is making lots of noise, threats, and Sabre rattling…just waiting to invade Taiwan, with potential first strike threats being made, should the US or it’s allies raise the threat levels by protecting (or offering to).
What has been feared for a couple of generations now, is the outbreak of World War Three, and the above paragraphs pretty much infer that WW3 has already started. The fuse has been lit, and unless smarter heads prevail, there is nothing else to stop a potentially fatal nuclear war occurring in OUR GENERATION…
The absolutely worst case scenario of our nation’s government turning into a communist run tyrannical 3rd world nation, and the horrific unconstitutional changes being made to the very heart of freedom and liberty that has served as the foundation of America, only points to deadly outcomes.
This situation is beyond dispute and any contestation…and unless we take our nation’s reins back, via force or nationwide rioting (or God forbid, another civil war), our nation’s end is staring us right in our faces…and the only path that history teaches us will come is our demise, via genocide in any and every way, shape or form.
Our second amendment right, that “shall not be infringed”…is being infringed on by our House of Representatives. Gun control is now happening. This administration is and has been acting in unconstitutional ways every day now, for years.
Why discuss this seriously damning evidence here? Because, we must maintain contact as our nation’s woke corporations decide to take away our freedoms, censor our communications, intentionally steal and destroy packages lawfully sold, shipped and paid for…at both ends…of legal gun manufacturers, dealers, and wholesaler’s packages going to lawful and valid buyers and businesses… packages that were already paid for after all legal ramifications were met…the same kind of real and potentially life and death situations that gave the world Adolf Hitler and the rise of Nazi domination in the 30s and 40s…and the horrors that were World War Three…and the deaths of tens of millions.
